Three classrooms have been built at Reach Shillong Ministries School in Shillong, Meghalaya, thanks to financial aid from NEEPCO. The company’s CSR program oversaw the completion of the project.
April 6, 2026 was the official inauguration date of the newly built classrooms. The Laitkor, Maw-Arling, Shillong school was the site of the ceremony. The responsibility of the inauguration was carried out by the GM (HR)-CSR and DGM (Tech)-CSR of NEEPCO. Rev. R. G. Laloo, President of REACH, was among those in attendance, as were members of the school board, officials from the education department, instructors, staff, and students. About one hundred forty-four students from low-income families attend the Reach Shillong Ministries School. Among these are children from low-income households, people living on the streets, and orphans.
There will be a marked improvement to the quality of instruction in the new classrooms. Their contributions will help meet the rising costs of these children’s education in Shillong.
