On Thursday, Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) Director (Technical) Ashutosh Dwivedi examined the Nigahi coal mine in detail to assess the mining processes, coal dispatch systems, safety regulations, and fuel management infrastructure.
The purpose of the site visit was to keep production goals at one of the company’s most important mining projects while also improving operational efficiency and making sure that safety procedures were followed. Dwivedi inspected the coal quality laboratory, coal handling facilities, the rake loading system, and Phase-2 Silo-2 operations. In order to evaluate the operational procedures and monitoring of coal quality, he also checked the new CHP’s East and West Receiving Pits.
Attending officials deliberated how to enhance coal quality control and guarantee systematic mining procedures project-wide during the inspection. Along with his study of the coal dispatch systems, loading operations, and transportation arrangements related to coal supply contracts, Dwivedi investigated the west receiving pit of the older Silo-1 facility during his visit to Coal Stockyard-40.
He stressed the significance of keeping dispatch operations effective to ensure a steady supply and simplifying coal input into silos. In order to have a better understanding of the operational problems on the ground, Dwivedi also had direct interactions with workers and supervisory staff throughout the visit.
He emphasised that the company’s primary priority is ensuring safe mining procedures and urged teams to uphold high levels of workplace discipline, productivity, and safety.
