In order to further collaboration in skill development, vocational education, and workforce mobility, India and Finland conducted a high-level conference on Thursday.
Finnish Minister of Employment Matias Marttinen and Indian Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary met for the talks.
The conversations, according to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, demonstrated the two nations’ increasing agreement to create talent ecosystems that are both robust and prepared for the future. In praising Finland’s capabilities in technical and vocational education, India emphasised its desire to become a global skill capital by capitalising on its youthful workforce and growing infrastructure for skilling.
Skill standard harmonisation with global requirements, trainer capacity building, organised mobility frameworks, and mutual acceptance of vocational qualifications were all areas of interest for both parties. Healthcare, building, green technology, and advanced manufacturing are some of the key industries that have been highlighted for partnerships.
At the conference, the two countries’ pledges to work together, via enhanced institutional relationships and ongoing communication, to encourage the ethical and sustainable movement of workers were reiterated.
