In order to carry out CSR projects during FY 2025-26, the Kishanganga Power Station of NHPC has inked a substantial Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the District Administration, Bandipora. Community development projects all around the district will receive a combined budget of 2.77 crore rupees, as per the agreement. The approved CSR initiatives will improve the quality of life of local communities across numerous priority sectors. Indu Kanwal Chib, Deputy Commissioner, lauded NHPC’s ongoing efforts to better the community and stressed the need for CSR programmes to be well-executed in order to provide tangible benefits to the people living in the area. In line with NHPC’s goal of inclusive and region-specific development, the authorised projects address issues like healthcare access, education, sports facilities, rural upliftment, and disaster preparedness, according to Power Station Head Rajesh Ranjan.
