Madhya Pradesh has reached power supply agreements with Adani Power Limited, Torrent Power Limited, and Hindustan Thermal Projects Limited for 4,000 MW of additional thermal power producing capacity, valued at Rs 60,000 crore.
Adani and Torrent each contributed Rs 24,000 crore for 1,600 MW and 800 MW, respectively, and Hindustan contributed Rs 12,000 crore for an additional 800 MW. The greenshoe option offers an extra 800 MW.
According to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the projects, which are scheduled to start in 2030, are anticipated to improve the state’s electrical supply, assist sustainable development, and generate about 8,000 new jobs.
