A Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, reported a successful start to 2026 by landing several significant domestic contracts in January that totalled more than ₹450 crore and covered government agencies, railroads, defence, and digital infrastructure. In accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations, the company informed stock exchanges of these developments. The Ministry of Defence awarded RailTel a ₹140.71 crore work order for yearly maintenance services, solidifying its standing as a reliable technological partner for India’s defence ecosystem. The agreement will be in effect until January 2031.
The Public Financial Management System (PFMS) awarded RailTel a ₹101.82 crore project in another noteworthy victory. The project will be implemented until January 2031 and will involve the establishment and management of IT infrastructure, including data centres, disaster recovery facilities, Security Operations Centre (SOC) services, and colocation support.
Additionally, Central Railway granted the company an ₹88.66 crore Letter of Acceptance for the delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of IP-MPLS network equipment in several divisions, including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, and Solapur. Enabling unified communication throughout Indian Railways is the project’s goal.
Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APCPDCL) awarded RailTel a ₹27.04 crore order for the delivery and implementation of Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) devices, together with five years of warranty and maintenance, further solidifying its position in the power industry.
