India’s Growth a Model for Global South: Mandaviya

India’s growth model serves as an emulative example for the Global South, according to Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya at the World Summit for Social Development.

He highlighted India’s achievement in lifting 250 million out of poverty over the past decade through reforms and welfare programs, inspired by the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.’

Significant advancements include increasing social security coverage and reducing unemployment. Mandaviya emphasized partnerships, inclusive innovation, and alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

He also criticized Pakistan’s remarks at the summit, arguing they distract from social development issues and misrepresent India’s position regarding cross-border conflicts.
