Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the first large-scale biogas plant in Nangli Dairy, capable of processing 200 tonnes of waste daily and producing 5,600 kilograms of CNG gas and 30 tonnes of compost.
Gupta highlighted the plant’s environmental benefits, addressing the need for more such facilities in Delhi to manage the 1,500 metric tonnes of cow dung produced daily. She criticized former CM Arvind Kejriwal for delays in the project’s completion, claiming the BJP government finished it quickly and emphasized its role in reducing pollution and generating green energy and revenue.
