Oil India Limited (OIL) held its 66th Annual General Meeting, where Chairman & Managing Director Dr. Ranjit Rath emphasized OIL’s commitment to a sustainable energy future for India, aligned with national priorities.
Key highlights included the inauguration of the world’s first bamboo-based 2-G Bio Ethanol Plant and the foundation stone laying for a polypropylene plant at Numaligarh, both supporting India’s import substitution and ‘Make in India’ initiatives.
For FY 2024–25, OIL achieved its highest-ever oil and natural gas production and reported strong financial performance with significant income and net profit, alongside substantial capital investment.
The company is also progressing on its Net Zero 2040 target, reducing flaring by 59% and increasing investments in renewables, green hydrogen, and biofuels, positioning itself to lead India’s energy transition.
