Bihar to Get Fourth Airport as PM Modi Opens Purnea Airport, Launches Mega Projects Worth ₹45,000 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Purnea, Bihar on September 15 to inaugurate the Purnea Airport and unveil development projects exceeding Rs 45,000 crore.

The highlight of the visit will be the inauguration of Purnea Airport, a long-awaited project expected to transform air connectivity in the region. This will be 4th airport in Bihar after Patna, Darbanga and Gaya.

Purnea airport was a a long-awaited project expected to transform air connectivity in the region and is projected to boost development of Koshi and Seemanchal regions, which have long faced connectivity challenges.

Additionally, the Modi government has approved the construction of the 82.4 km, Rs 4,447 crore Mokama–Munger section of the Buxar–Bhagalpur High-Speed Corridor.
