PFC has completed the transfer of Satara Power Transmission Limited to Adani Energy Solutions Limited. The transaction was completed on October 6, 2026, following the selection of Adani Energy Solutions as the successful bidder for the project.
Satara Power Transmission Limited was a wholly owned subsidiary of PFC Consulting Limited, which is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation. The transfer marks the completion of the transaction involving the project-specific special purpose vehicle (SPV).
PFC Completes Transfer of Satara Power SPV
Satara Power Transmission was established to undertake the development of the Transmission System for the Network Expansion Scheme in the Western Region. The scheme is aimed at catering to pumped storage potential near Satara of up to 4,500 MW under Part A.
The transmission system forms part of the planned power infrastructure for the region. The development is intended to support the integration and transmission requirements associated with the identified pumped storage potential.
Adani Energy Solutions acquired the SPV after emerging as the successful bidder. The transfer will enable the project to move forward under the new ownership structure and support the next phase of its development.
Transaction Value and Disclosure
The consideration for the transfer of Satara Power Transmission Limited stood at ₹19,01,24,505. PFC has also stated that Adani Energy Solutions does not belong to the promoter or promoter group of PFC.
The transaction was disclosed by the company under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. The disclosure provides details of the completion of the transfer and the parties involved in the transaction.
The completion of the transfer represents another step in the development of the transmission infrastructure planned under the Western Region network expansion scheme. For PFC, the transaction also reflects its role through PFC Consulting in facilitating the development and transfer of project-specific transmission assets.
