AI and Cloud Skilling Initiative Launched Nationwide
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has launched a nationwide AI and Cloud Skilling initiative to train 1.5 lakh learners across India.
The programme will provide foundational training in Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing through digital learning content from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
It will also offer job-ready training to 10,000 participants through the AWS re/Start programme.
NSDC, under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, announced the initiative with Cultus Education in collaboration with AWS.
AI and Cloud Skilling to Expand Access to Digital Training
The AI and Cloud Skilling initiative aims to make technology training more accessible to young people across India.
The programme will follow a 100% online delivery model. This will allow learners from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to access training without moving to metropolitan centres.
The initiative will create a pathway from basic digital skills to globally recognised credentials and employment opportunities.
Training Targets Emerging Talent Hubs
The programme focuses on expanding access to technology skills in underserved and emerging talent hubs.
The initiative aims to create new opportunities for youth by providing training in areas that are increasingly important to the digital economy.
The job-ready component will help 10,000 participants develop practical cloud skills through the AWS re/Start programme.
NSDC Focuses on Future-Ready Workforce
Jayant Chaudhary, Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, said young people in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns should have access to skills required for future jobs.
He said initiatives of this kind can support an inclusive and future-ready workforce as India moves towards becoming a global hub for innovation, technology and talent.
The AI and Cloud Skilling initiative is expected to strengthen digital capabilities and improve access to technology-led employment opportunities across India.
