L&T Gas Compression Project: Company Wins Major Middle East EPC Contract

L&T Gas Compression Project Contract Signed in Middle East

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore (LTEH Onshore) has signed a contract for the L&T Gas Compression Project in the Middle East.

The contract follows a Letter of Award issued in FY26. The project covers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of gas compression plants for a major client in the region.

The L&T Gas Compression Project will develop new onshore facilities for sour gas processing. It will also expand L&T’s portfolio of complex hydrocarbon projects in international markets.

L&T Gas Compression Project Covers Key Facilities

The L&T Gas Compression Project will include gas inlet facilities, gas compression systems, condensate and produced water handling systems, propane refrigeration systems and associated utilities.

The facilities will process sour gas. L&T will execute the project in line with applicable client standards, codes and project requirements.

The integrated scope will cover major systems required for gas processing and compression operations.

L&T to Execute 230 kV Substations

The L&T Gas Compression Project will also include two 230 kV extra-high-voltage substations.

L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution business will execute the substations. They will provide power for the gas compression plants and their associated facilities.

The combined hydrocarbon and power infrastructure scope will allow L&T to deliver an integrated solution for the project.

L&T Strengthens Middle East Hydrocarbon Operations

E. S. Sathyanarayanan, Senior Vice President and Head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, said the L&T Gas Compression Project is strategically important for the company.

He said the project will add significant gas compression capacity and utility infrastructure. He also highlighted L&T’s experience in executing large and complex hydrocarbon facilities.

The project further strengthens L&T’s capability in handling challenging sour gas applications and delivering integrated EPC solutions.

L&T Expands Global EPC Project Portfolio

The L&T Gas Compression Project adds to L&T’s international hydrocarbon EPC portfolio.

LTEH Onshore provides Lump Sum Turnkey solutions across the upstream, midstream and downstream hydrocarbon sectors. Its experience includes refinery expansions, petrochemical complexes, gas processing plants, fertiliser plants, LNG terminals and cross-country pipelines.

The new project strengthens L&T’s presence in the Middle East and reinforces its capabilities in large-scale energy infrastructure.
