Vietnam Strives to Provide Preschool Education for All Children Aged 3 to 5

Vietnam aims to achieve universal preschool education for children aged 3 to 5 by 2030, according to a government decree.

The decree calls for increased investment in educational infrastructure and social resource mobilization to develop preschool facilities. By 2030, all classrooms will be permanent structures with functional rooms, libraries, indoor and outdoor play areas, teaching materials, kitchens, restrooms, and clean water systems.

Starting September, tuition fees for children attending public preschools will be waived, while private institutions will receive partial tuition support. Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh announced plans to set up a national scholarship fund and increase budget spending on education to achieve a strategic breakthrough in human resource training.
