A two-day National Workshop on “IT Solutions in the Ayush Sector” was inaugurated by Veena George in Kumarakom, Kerala, bringing together 155 participants from 23 States and Union Territories.
The workshop, organized by the National Ayush Mission, Kerala, focuses on integrating digital tools with traditional Ayush values for accessible, affordable, and citizen-centric healthcare.

Key speakers emphasized the urgent need for digital adoption to enhance Ayush services. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, highlighted initiatives like Ayush Grid and digital portals to foster collaboration, standardize software, and align Ayush with the National Digital Health Mission.

He stressed that digital tools are essential for improving accessibility, affordability, and quality of service delivery, enabling real-time monitoring, efficient data and human resource management, and seamless financial tracking.

Kerala’s Additional Chief Secretary, Rajan N. Khobragade, praised the state’s digital health achievements and called for standardized, user-friendly Ayush digital platforms across states, mirroring Kerala’s model.

The workshop aims to exchange best practices, orient participants on Central Government IT platforms, and discuss critical areas like program management, patient care, data management, and financial tracking. The event includes field visits to Ayush facilities in Kerala to showcase successful implementations. This initiative is seen as a crucial step towards a unified digital future for Ayush in India.
