On January 22, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will travel to India for the third time since taking office and the fifth time in the past ten years.
The visit builds on the momentum created by prior high-level interactions, such as the visits of prominent UAE leaders during the previous 12 months. Strong, multifaceted ties between India and the United Arab Emirates, underpinned by important accords such as the Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) and the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), were emphasised by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
In addition to discussing regional and international topics of shared interest, the two countries hope to strengthen their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership during this summit. The progress of the strategic alliance and possible areas for collaboration, particularly in commerce, investments, energy collaboration, and cultural exchanges, were the topics of previous talks between Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and his UAE counterpart.
There is still a lot of emphasis on strengthening relations to advance regional and international stability and coordinating their cooperation to benefit both countries and guarantee sustainable growth. Prior to this, the president of the United Arab Emirates complimented Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his political accomplishments, highlighting the two leaders’ cordial relationship and shared goals for strengthening bilateral ties.
