RVNL has secured a ₹903.01 crore order from SJVN Thermal Private Limited for railway infrastructure work linked to the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar. The RVNL order covers the construction of a permanent railway siding and an aerial track connection from the plant boundary to Chausa and Pawani Kamarpur.
SJVN Thermal Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited. The project forms Phase III of the infrastructure support for the Buxar Thermal Power Project.
RVNL Order Covers Railway Siding and Track Connection
Under the RVNL order, the company will construct a permanent railway siding at the Buxar thermal project.
The scope also includes an aerial track connection from the plant boundary to Chausa and Pawani Kamarpur.
The railway infrastructure is expected to support the movement of materials and other logistics linked to the thermal power project.
RVNL Order Value Stands at ₹903.01 Crore
The total value of the RVNL order is ₹903.01 crore, including GST.
RVNL will have 36 months to complete the project. The contract is a domestic order awarded in the normal course of business.
The Letter of Award was issued by SJVN Thermal Private Limited.
RVNL Order Supports Buxar Thermal Project
The work is part of Phase III of the infrastructure support being developed for the 1,320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project (BTPP).
The project is located in Bihar and is a key thermal power development associated with SJVN.
The railway siding and aerial track connection will strengthen the project’s logistics infrastructure and provide dedicated rail connectivity.
RVNL Confirms No Related-Party Transaction
RVNL said that its promoter or promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity.
The company also confirmed that the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.
