Petronet LNG Limited organised its second Finance & IT Meet on 7-8 August 2026. The event, named “Catalyst,” took place at the company’s Corporate Office in New Delhi. Finance and IT professionals from across the company’s locations came together for the two-day session. The meet featured discussions, brainstorming, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Domain experts also led interactive sessions on emerging industry trends.
Leadership Outlines the Next Phase of Transformation
Director (Finance) & CFO Saurav Mitra initiated this platform last year. He outlined the roadmap for the next phase of transformation at this year’s meet. He identified six key focus areas for the company going forward. These include automation, integrated systems, and analytics. Governance, cybersecurity, and capability building round out the list.
Mitra stressed that these efforts should deliver tangible results. He pointed to stronger internal controls and faster decision-making. He also emphasised building a more efficient, future-ready organisation through this work.

Petronet LNG Ties the Meet to Sustainability
The company organised this year’s event as a carbon-neutral meet. This reflects Petronet LNG‘s broader commitment to sustainability. As part of these efforts, the company also carried out a tree plantation drive. This took place on 4 August 2026 at an MCD School in Kakrola Village, Dwarka, New Delhi.
Building a More Agile Finance and IT Function
The ‘Catalyst’ platform continues Petronet LNG‘s push toward greater agility. The company aims to make its finance and IT functions more collaborative. Technology-driven processes remain central to this transformation effort. This second edition builds on the momentum from last year’s inaugural meet.
