Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has expressed significant concern regarding the recent boat capsize incident near Asarsa village on the Jambusar coast in Bharuch district, Gujarat.
ONGC clarified that the individuals on the vessel were not their employees and that the operation of the boat was not managed or supervised by them. The personnel were contracted by Asian Energy Services Ltd. (AESL) for a survey assignment. Information from the district administration indicates that the boat capsized almost instantly due to unexpected strong tidal currents.
AESL is recognized as an independent energy services provider, involved in executing seismic and related assignments for various clients.
