NTPC Bongaigaon commemorated the 100th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, the “Bard of Assam,” with a program attended by students from Notredame Academy and NTPC Salakati, and NTPC Bongaigaon employees.
General Manager Shri Anurag Gupta and others paid floral tributes, with Shri Gupta highlighting Dr. Hazarika’s contributions as a visionary and cultural icon whose songs promoted humanity, unity, and hope. At the school, Principal Sister Manju Joseph and students discussed Dr. Hazarika’s legacy and his ability to connect Assam globally through his music and messages of peace.
