Department of Personnel & Training extends Shri Govindarajan Appakkannu’s tenure as NLC India CVO for two years up to October 15, 2028.
The Competent Authority has approved a two-year extension for Shri Govindarajan Appakkannu, IPoS (2000), as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of NLC India Limited (NLCIL), Neyveli.
The extension will take effect after his existing tenure ends on October 15, 2026. His extended tenure will continue up to October 15, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
NLC India CVO Tenure Extended for Two Years
According to an official Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Appakkannu will continue as CVO of NLC India for a further period of two years.
The extension follows a proposal submitted by the Ministry of Coal. The ministry’s Office Memorandum was dated September 7, 2026.
The order was issued under the directive of Deputy Secretary Ajit Kumar Jha.
NLC India CVO Appointment and Government Order
Appakkannu has been serving as CVO of NLC India Limited at Neyveli. The latest order formally extends his tenure beyond October 15, 2026.
The extension will remain valid until October 15, 2028, unless further orders are issued before that date.
The DoPT issued the Office Memorandum from New Delhi. The order records the formal clearance of the proposal from the Ministry of Coal.
DoPT Circulates Notification to Key Authorities
Copies of the notification have been shared with the Secretary of the Department of Posts, the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and other concerned administrative departments.
The communication is intended for institutional records and necessary compliance.
