MoU: NCL to Provide Nutritious Meals to 10,000 Children

NCL has signed an MoU with Sri Sathya Sai Annapurna Trust under its CSR initiative to provide nutritious morning meals to around 10,000 school children in Sonbhadra.

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sri Sathya Sai Annapurna Trust under its NCL CSR initiative. The programme will support the nutrition, health and overall development of school children in Sonbhadra district.

Under the MoU, around 10,000 students from Classes 1 to 8 will receive nutritious morning meals. The initiative will cover 126 schools in Sonbhadra and run for one year.

NCL CSR Initiative for School Children

The NCL CSR programme aims to address the nutritional needs of school children in the district. It is also expected to support better health and learning outcomes.

The initiative seeks to encourage regular school attendance and contribute to the overall development of children.

The MoU was signed by Shri Rajiv Ranjan, General Manager (CSR), NCL, and Shri Ashish Bhardwaj on behalf of Sri Sathya Sai Annapurna Trust.

As part of the initiative, supplementary nutrition was also distributed to children in schools under Nyaya Panchayat Kuldomari and Kota.

The NCL CSR initiative forms part of the company’s efforts to support communities in its operational areas. It focuses on children’s nutrition and holistic development through targeted CSR interventions.
