L&T ONGC Order: Company Wins Large Offshore Project from ONGC

L&T ONGC Order: Larsen & Toubro Limited has secured a large offshore order from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for the Additional Development of Ratna–I (ADR-I) and NLM-14 project off India’s west coast.

The order has been secured by L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore (LTEH Offshore) and covers engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) activities for new offshore facilities and modifications to existing installations.

L&T ONGC Order Covers New Offshore Facilities

The project scope includes the development and installation of three new well-head platforms and one riser platform.

It also covers multiple segments of subsea pipelines and cables, along with brownfield modifications to existing offshore installations.

The integrated development is aimed at supporting production and the continued development of ONGC’s offshore assets in the region.

L&T Offshore Project Falls Under Large Order Category

According to L&T’s order classification system, the L&T ONGC Order falls under the “Large” category.

L&T classifies orders valued between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore under this category.

The project combines new offshore construction with modifications to existing operating facilities, requiring coordination across engineering, installation and commissioning activities.

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore to Execute Project

Commenting on the order, Parthasarathi Chatterjee, Senior Vice President & Head – L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore, said the ADR-I and NLM-14 developments are significant additions to India’s offshore energy infrastructure.

He noted that the projects combine new offshore facilities with brownfield modifications in existing operating fields. This requires detailed planning, engineering integration and precise execution.

The L&T ONGC Order strengthens L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore’s role in India’s offshore energy infrastructure and supports the continued development of ONGC’s assets along the country’s west coast.
