Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate ‘SEMICON India – 2025’ at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi today.This three-day conference, is designed to foster India’s semiconductor ecosystem, focusing on its development to be strong, resilient, and sustainable.
The event will feature discussions on the Semicon India Programme, semiconductor fabrication and advanced packaging projects, infrastructure readiness, smart manufacturing, innovations in Research & Development (R&D) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), investment prospects, and state-level policy implementation.
SEMICON India 2025 will host over 350 exhibiting companies from 33 countries and regions, along with a significant number of global stakeholders, industry leaders, innovators, academia, and government representatives.
Jointly organized by the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and SEMI, the global semiconductor industry association, the conference aims to drive collaboration and technological advancements across the semiconductor supply chain. It is positioned as South Asia’s largest platform for the semiconductor and electronics industries, highlighting India’s evolving role and progress since the launch of the ISM in 2021, supported by a Rs 76,000 crore Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
The event will showcase 10 approved strategic projects, including High-Volume Fabs, Advanced Packaging, Compound Semiconductors, and OSATs, under the theme “Building the Next Semiconductor Powerhouse,” providing insights into key areas like fabs, advanced packaging, smart manufacturing, AI, supply chain management, sustainability, workforce development, designs, and startups.
Previous editions were held in Bengaluru (2022), Gandhinagar (2023), and Greater Noida (2024).
