The historic India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who highlighted its potential to strengthen economic connections and open up opportunities for India’s 1.4 billion citizens.
The deal, which is India’s biggest free trade pact, is anticipated to improve manufacturing, strengthen collaboration in the services sector, and make it simpler for farmers and small businesses to reach European markets.
PM Modi thanked European leaders for their dedication to this milestone, emphasising that the agreement offers previously unheard-of prospects and international collaboration. It seeks to harness the potential of the digital era, promote innovation, facilitate mobility for professionals and youth, and create high-quality jobs.
Modi emphasised the goal of establishing a stable economic relationship between India and the EU by describing the collaboration as a step towards a sustainable and prosperous future.
