EIL Signs MoU with Dangote Group for Second Train of Africa’s Biggest Refinery

Engineers India Limited (EIL) has partnered with Nigeria’s Dangote Group as the Project Management and EPCM Consultant for the expansion of the Dangote Refinery in Lekki, aimed at increasing capacity from 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day.

This project, acknowledged as a transformative asset for Africa’s energy landscape, will further establish Nigeria as a regional hub for petroleum products and enhance energy security.

EIL’s capabilities were praised by Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote and EIL’s C&MD Vartika Shukla, highlighting EIL’s track record in executing complex projects.

The expansion will also include an increase in Polypropene production and is expected to reinforce regional fuel production, reducing reliance on imports.
