Dry Fly Ash Supply: NTPC Simhadri Offers 7 Lakh MT to MSEs

NTPC Limited has invited an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the supply of 7 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of dry fly ash from its Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station in Andhra Pradesh. The offer is aimed at Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and eligible local users involved in manufacturing ash-based products.

The initiative will support the utilisation of fly ash in construction and other industrial applications while providing eligible manufacturers access to the material at a concessional rate.

Dry Fly Ash Supply Offered at Rs 4 Per MT

NTPC Simhadri will offer a total of 7,00,000 MT of dry fly ash under the EOI.

Of the total quantity, 6,00,000 MT will be available to eligible MSEs. Another 1,00,000 MT will be offered to local users located within a 100-km radial distance from the power station.

The concessional rate is Rs 4 per MT. Applicable local charges, taxes, duties and other levies will be charged separately.

Dry Fly Ash Supply to Continue for One Year

The supply period will remain valid for one year from the effective date of the Letter of Award (LOA).

The material will be supplied on an “as is where is” basis. Successful applicants will be responsible for lifting and transporting the fly ash from the power station.

Eligibility Criteria for MSEs and Local Users

MSE applicants must hold a valid Udyam Registration Certificate under the manufacturing category. They must also manufacture products that use fly ash as a raw material.

Eligible products include bricks, blocks, tiles, sintered or cold-bonded ash aggregates, fibre cement sheets, pipes, boards and panels.

Local users must meet similar manufacturing requirements. They must also operate within a 100-km radial distance from NTPC Simhadri.

Traders and service providers are not eligible to participate in the EOI.

NTPC Simhadri to Promote Fly Ash Utilisation

The initiative will provide manufacturers with access to dry fly ash at a concessional rate. It is also expected to encourage the wider use of fly ash in value-added products.

By supplying the material to eligible MSEs and local manufacturers, NTPC aims to support ash utilisation and promote its use in construction and related industries.
