RailTel Celebrates International Yoga Day 2026, Promotes Wellness and Healthy Ageing Nationwide

RailTel Corporation of India Limited, a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under Ministry of Railways, enthusiastically participated in the nationwide festivities of International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 with the participation of its employees, senior management and leadership teams across the country. The event was held as part of the national plan headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting the value of yoga in a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Yoga sessions were held at different RailTel offices where staff from different departments came together in a united effort to improve physical health, mental wellness and general well-being. RailTel CMD Sanjai Kumar, Directors and staff actively participated in the event, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to encouraging a healthy workplace culture.

The topic for International Day of Yoga 2026, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighted the transforming power of yoga in promoting physical vitality, emotional resilience and mental well-being across all age groups. The event urged participants to take up yoga as a daily practice to help them age healthily, decrease stress and improve the quality of their lives.

Talking to the audience, Sanjai Kumar said yoga is not only a physical activity. He described it as a holistic lifestyle that promotes balance, discipline, resilience and sustainable well-being. He urged the employees to make yoga a part of their daily life as a measure for preventive health care and as a powerful tool to preserve physical and mental fitness.

The event served as a reminder of the growing significance of health efforts in today’s fast-paced and demanding workplace. Guided yoga sessions and awareness exercises motivated staff to embrace healthy lifestyle choices that lead to long-term productivity, happiness, and general health.
