500 HUDCO Employees Join International Yoga Day 2026 Celebrations Across India

As a nation, HUDCO’s employees enthusiastically participated in the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, reiterating the organization’s dedication to health, fitness, and overall well-being.

On behalf of the Indian government’s Ministry of Ayush, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, the Aadya Kaushalam Trust, and the Samarpan Sewa Trust, the major event took place at Ansal Plaza Park at HUDCO Place, New Delhi. Staff and upper-level management joined forces at the event to spread the word about yoga and healthy lifestyle choices.

Members of the executive team including Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha (CHMD), Shri M. Nagaraj (DCP), Shri Daljeet Singh Khatri (DFO), and Shri Vineet Gupta (CVO) were present at the event. They demonstrated the value of physical and mental wellness by their participation, which in turn inspired workers to make yoga a regular part of their lives.

The topic of this year’s International Day of Yoga, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighted the benefits of yoga on many levels, including improved physical health, emotional stability, mental toughness, and general well-being. Participants took part in wellness activities and guided yoga sessions aimed at promoting good ageing and preventative healthcare.

The nation’s capital was not the only location where revellers gathered. As part of their shared effort to promote health and wellbeing among employees, HUDCO’s regional offices around India also hosted Yoga Day events. Aiming to improve flexibility, focus, stress management, and overall well-being, employees eagerly participated in yoga practices.

As more and more people realise yoga’s benefits for a healthy lifestyle, almost 500 employees across the country celebrated International Yoga Day. The widespread involvement further demonstrated HUDCO’s commitment to employee involvement and health in the workplace.

Senior officials, speaking on the importance of the event, emphasised that yoga is a potent instrument for attaining balance between the mind and the body. For the sake of productivity, stress reduction, and long-term health, they advocated that workers make yoga a regular part of their lives.

As a major public sector organization in the housing and urban infrastructure sector, HUDCO continues to support projects that contribute to the well-being of its employees and stakeholders. The organization is dedicated to maintaining a healthy, inclusive, and productive work environment through wellness programs, community engagement activities, and sustainable workplace practices.
