The Maharatna PSU Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), which reports to the Ministry of Power, recently held an analysts meet in Mumbai. The purpose of the gathering was for PGCIL to interact with analysts from the sector and provide them with updates regarding the company’s operational performance and infrastructure network. A number of top officials from Power Grid, including Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Director (Personnel) Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Operations) Naveen Srivastava, and Finance Director G. Ravisankar, met with the analysts.
Power Grid’s operational successes and expansion of its transmission infrastructure were showcased during the meeting.
Power Grid has a nationwide transformation capacity of 6,28,516 MVA, more than 1,85,102 ckm of transmission lines, and 291 substations operational as of April 30, 2026, according to their report. Additionally, the business emphasised its commitment to digital solutions, automation, and technology adoption in order to run the grid more efficiently. Power Grid claims that it has maintained an average transmission system availability of over 99.78 percent through the application of modern technology tools and greater automation.
