In order to meet the increased demand for train travel during the summer months, Indian Railways has announced a special service between Bhavnagar Terminus and Shakurbasti.
During the summer of 2026, from May 29th to June 27th, there will be five trips in each direction of the 09257/09258 Bhavnagar Terminus-Shakurbasti-Bhavnagar Terminus Special.
From May 29th through June 26th, Train No. 09257 will run weekly from Bhavnagar Terminus to Shakurbasti, and from May 30th through June 27th, Train No. 09258 will run weekly from Shakurbasti to Bhavnagar Terminus.
There will be air-conditioned, sleeper, and general-class coaches available on the special service.
No. 09257 is scheduled to leave Bhavnagar Terminus at 2:20 pm and arrive at Shakurbasti at 10:55 am the next day. The following checkpoints are important: Botad Junction, Gandhigram, Mahesana Junction, Palanpur Junction, Abu Road, Ajmer Junction, Rewari Junction, Gurgaon, and Delhi Cantt.
After making the same stops on its way back, Train No. 09258 will set out from Shakurbasti at 1:15 pm and make it to Bhavnagar Terminus at 8:50 am the following morning.
With the hope of reducing traffic during the summer break, the service will run along the cord line that runs between Sabarmati and Chandkheda Road.
