The Indian Navy has received “Mahendragiri,” the Fourth Stealth Frigate of the Project 17A (P17A) Class, from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL).
Rear Admiral Gautam Marwaha, VSM, Chief Staff Officer (Technical), Eastern Naval Command, and Capt. Jagmohan, Chairman & Managing Director of MDL, both signed the Acceptance Document (D448) in the presence of top officials from both the Indian Navy and MDL.
Delivery of Mahendragiri is a major step forward, demonstrating MDL’s competence in building cutting-edge warships and their dedication to professionalism. Adding this ship to the Indian Navy’s fleet gives them an advantage at sea.
This indigenously designed and produced warship is a powerful representation of India’s dedication to the Make in India effort in the defence manufacturing industry, thanks to its use of innovative technologies.
