In order to upgrade the current 1×25 kV traction system to a 2×25 kV AT feeding system in the Ongole-Gudur line of Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway has issued a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). Design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning activities to improve operating efficiency and traction capacity are all part of the 154 RKM / 462 TKM project. This achievement further solidifies RVNL’s position in updating India’s railway infrastructure, with a project value of about ₹242.49 crore and an execution duration of 24 months.
