V.N. Jha, National Bureau Chief of Gujarat Vaibhav and Consulting Editor of DiplomacyIndia.com, delivered the keynote address and initiated an engaging discussion during the release of the book “Who Has Seen Tomorrow” held in New Delhi.

Authored by Dr. Mrinal Kant Pandey, the book narrates the inspiring life story of Mr. Yugesh Chand, a Pravasi Bharatiya from Fiji whose ancestors migrated from Basti, Uttar Pradesh, as indentured labourers. The narrative explores the trials and triumphs, struggles and successes of the Indian diaspora in Fiji, delving into their efforts to preserve their culture, language, and rituals over generations.

The book also sheds light on the emotional and cultural connections that bind the Indian diaspora to their homeland through spiritual rejuvenation, wellness and religious tourism, and frequent visits to India. It serves as a testament to the enduring power of India’s soft diplomacy and its growing influence on the global stage.
The event brought together authors, diplomats, media professionals, and scholars who appreciated the book’s rich portrayal of identity, belonging, and cultural continuity among overseas Indians.
