Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRESE) 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on November 2. The four-day gathering will draw policymakers, investors and clean energy businesses from more than 130 countries.
Themed “Invest. Innovate. Inspire,” the summit will explore investment and technology partnerships supporting India’s energy transition, with discussions spanning green hydrogen, energy storage, manufacturing and renewable energy financing.
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy Secretary Santosh Sarangi highlighted India’s installed non-fossil fuel capacity of 308 GW and its goal of reaching 500 GW by 2030. An estimated USD 220 billion in investment will be required between 2027 and 2030, alongside stronger transmission infrastructure and expanded storage capacity.
The programme will coincide with the ninth International Solar Alliance Assembly and the fourth International Conference on Green Hydrogen. Ministerial meetings, CEO roundtables and country and state sessions will examine opportunities to turn investment interest into projects.
The summit will also address workforce development, technology exchange and women’s leadership in the energy transition.
