NMDC Limited has announced the appointment of Ms. Sarita Chauhan, Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel, as Government Director on its Board, effective October 12, 2026.
The Ministry of Steel, Government of India, issued the appointment order on October 12, 2026, vide Order No. S-14011/1/2022-BLA. Ms. Chauhan will hold the position with immediate effect or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She assumed charge as Government Director on the same date.
Brief Profile of Sarita Chauhan
Ms. Sarita Chauhan is a senior civil servant from the 1999 batch of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), belonging to the AGMUT cadre. She currently serves as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
As disclosed by NMDC, Ms. Chauhan is not related to any other director on the company’s Board. She is also not disqualified under Section 164 of the Companies Act, 2013, and is not debarred from holding the office of director by any court, tribunal, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other authority.
