Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) have signed a Right of Use (RoU) Sharing Agreement for the Duliajan Feeder Line (DFL). The agreement was signed during the Northeast Region Gas Conclave on October 10, 2026.
The 24-inch, 175-km pipeline will have a designed capacity of 3.5 million metric standard cubic metres per day (MMSCMD) and an estimated investment of ₹1,325 crore. It will connect CGGS-Madhuban in Duliajan to SV-14 of IGGL’s Guwahati-North Bank Pipeline (GNPL) in Jorhat, linking the gas fields of Upper Assam to the North East Gas Grid.
Agreement to Reduce Land Acquisition and Project Costs
Under the agreement, IGGL will use approximately 53 km of ONGC’s existing Right of Use corridor. Sharing the corridor will help minimise fresh land acquisition, reduce environmental impact, optimise project costs and expedite project implementation.
The collaboration reflects both organisations’ commitment to sustainable infrastructure development and supports the broader vision of building a stronger, more integrated national gas grid.
