NLC India reported an all-time high consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹3,769 crore for FY 2025-26. The company also announced a total 38.5% dividend payout of ₹533.86 crore at its 70th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, held its 70th AGM through video conferencing on September 29, 2026.
Addressing shareholders, CMD Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya outlined the company’s financial performance, operational achievements and long-term growth strategy under the theme “From Resources to Resilience.”
NLC India Reports Record Financial Performance
NLC India recorded a consolidated PAT of ₹3,769 crore, marking a 38.91% increase over the previous year.
Profit Before Tax stood at ₹3,875 crore, while revenue from operations reached ₹17,490 crore. EBITDA also rose to an all-time high of ₹7,475 crore, supported by improved operational performance.
The company reported record capital expenditure of ₹9,131 crore during the year. Its net worth increased by 14.96% to ₹21,525 crore.
NLC India Announces 38.5% Dividend Payout
The company announced a total dividend payout of 38.5%, amounting to ₹533.86 crore for FY 2025-26.
The payout includes the 36% interim dividend already declared by NLCIL for the financial year.
The dividend announcement came alongside the company’s record financial performance and reflects its focus on shareholder value.
NLC India Records Growth in Coal and Green Energy
NLC India also reported strong operational performance during FY 2025-26.
The Talabira-II & III Open Cast Project (OCP) recorded its highest-ever annual coal production of 19.14 million tonnes (MT). Coal dispatch from the project stood at 17.69 MT.
NLCIL also generated a record 2.26 billion units of green energy, highlighting the growing contribution of its renewable energy portfolio.
The company has expanded its renewable energy capacity to 1,785 MW.
NLC India Expands Energy and Mining Portfolio
The company achieved several strategic milestones during the year. These included the commencement of coal production from the Pachwara South Coal Mine.
NLCIL also achieved full commercial operation of all three 660 MW units at NUPPL Ghatampur.
The company is also expanding its renewable energy portfolio and exploring new areas such as battery energy storage systems, green hydrogen, M-sand production from overburden and critical minerals.
NLC India Sets Vision 2047 Targets
Looking ahead, NLC India aims to build a diversified and resilient energy enterprise under its Vision 2047 strategy.
The company has set a target of 20 GW of power capacity and more than 100 MTPA of mining capacity.
Renewable energy, energy storage, green hydrogen and critical minerals are expected to play an important role in the company’s long-term growth strategy.
The 70th AGM highlighted NLC India’s record financial and operational performance while outlining its broader focus on energy diversification, renewable expansion and sustainable value creation.
