Western Coalfields Limited signs an MoU with Dr. Shrikant Jichkar Foundation to upgrade Shishu Vihar Uccha Prathmik Shala in Nagpur, benefiting 267 students.
Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Dr. Shrikant Jichkar Foundation, Nagpur, on 19 September 2026. The agreement is part of the WCL Happy School Project and will support the upgradation of Shishu Vihar Uccha Prathmik Shala, Mahal, Nagpur.
The project will improve school infrastructure and create a better learning environment for students. The initiative will benefit 267 students.
WCL Happy School Project to Upgrade School Infrastructure
The project will cover several infrastructure and classroom improvements. These include painting and BALA artwork, waterproofing, basic electrification and exterior tiling.
The school will also receive digital interactive panels in three classrooms. These facilities will support technology-enabled learning and improve classroom engagement.
MoU Signed for 267 Students
The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Bikram Ghosh, Director (HR)/(Fin), WCL. Shri Lalit Prakash Tirkey, General Manager (CSR), WCL, and Ms. Maitreyi Jichkar, Secretary, Dr. Shrikant Jichkar Foundation, signed the agreement.
The WCL Happy School Project aims to provide a safer, more engaging and inclusive learning environment. The planned upgrades are expected to improve the overall educational experience for students at the school.
