DRDO Tech Transfer Pacts Handed Over at VIMARSH 2026

Rajnath Singh handed over nine DRDO tech transfer agreements to 13 manufacturing partners at the DRDO-Industry Synergy Meet VIMARSH 2026.

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh handed over nine DRDO tech transfer agreements to 13 manufacturing partners at the DRDO-Industry Synergy Meet, VIMARSH 2026. The agreements will support commercial production of defence systems developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

The event, themed “Varta se Vikas”, focuses on strengthening Aatmanirbharta in defence by enabling wider industry participation in the production of indigenous defence technologies.

DRDO Tech Transfer Agreements to Boost Defence Manufacturing

The DRDO tech transfer agreements comprise nine Licensing Agreements for Transfer of Technology (LAToT). The agreements will enable private and public sector partners to manufacture advanced defence systems developed by DRDO.

The initiative is aimed at expanding the defence manufacturing ecosystem and supporting the wider adoption of indigenous technologies.

Rajnath Singh Releases Key Defence Documents

During VIMARSH 2026, Rajnath Singh also released two key documents focused on defence self-reliance and organisational efficiency.

The first document, “Defence Systems for Resilient Bharat – Advancing Aatmanirbharta in Defence,” highlights major defence systems developed by DRDO between 2014 and 2026.

The second document, “Guidelines for Human Resource Outsourcing Service Contracts in DRDO,” provides a framework for efficient and compliant human resource outsourcing services within DRDO.

VIMARSH 2026 Strengthens Industry Collaboration

VIMARSH 2026 brings DRDO and industry stakeholders together to accelerate the commercialisation of indigenous defence technologies. The technology-transfer agreements are expected to strengthen collaboration between DRDO and manufacturing partners.

The initiative also supports India’s broader objective of building a self-reliant defence manufacturing base through greater participation from the domestic industry.
