BCCL coal loading targets have been increased at key sidings as the company focuses on higher production, productivity, machine utilisation and coal dispatch.
Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal reviewed mining and coal dispatch operations in the Barora and Block-II Areas on September 11, 2026. He directed officials to increase rake loading and address operational constraints at various mining sites.
BCCL Coal Loading Targets Increased at KKC Sidings
At KKC-Link Siding in the Barora Area, the CMD directed officials to increase the loading target from 2 to 3 rakes per day.
At KKC Main Siding in the Block-II Area, the daily target was raised from 2 to 3.5 rakes.
The higher targets are aimed at improving coal dispatch and supporting operational efficiency across the two areas.
Mining Operations Reviewed at AMP Colliery
During his visit to AMP Colliery, Agarwal reviewed mining operations at Hired Patch-7.
He directed the Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) teams to complete dewatering work on time. The measure will help maintain mining operations and support production.
At the AMP Departmental OC Patch, officials were asked to improve machine availability, capacity utilisation and productivity.
Mining to Begin at Left-out Patch-B
At Left-out Patch-B, the CMD directed officials to remove the remaining encroachments.
BCCL has targeted the start of mining operations at the patch by September 15, 2026.
The direction is aimed at creating the conditions required for mining activities to begin without further operational delays.
Additional Equipment Planned at Damoda Colliery
At the Damoda Colliery Departmental OC Patch, BCCL was directed to deploy two additional excavators and adequate dumpers.
Officials were asked to first create sufficient obstruction-free working space for the equipment. The move is expected to support higher machine utilisation and improve production efficiency.
BCCL Focuses on Production and Dispatch Efficiency
The CMD also reviewed lighting arrangements and crusher operations during the visit.
Officials were directed to maintain adequate lighting for night operations. They were also asked to ensure timely equipment maintenance to minimise operational disruptions.
The review highlighted BCCL’s focus on increasing coal loading, production, productivity and dispatch across its mining operations.
