BPCL deep-tech startup programme MC² Plus Ignite is inviting applications from startups developing technologies for decarbonisation and India’s energy transition. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is participating in the accelerator, which aims to help emerging companies move innovative technologies from development to commercial deployment.
BPCL Deep-Tech Startup Programme Offers Funding and Industry Access
The selected startups can receive funding of up to ₹2 crore under the programme. Participants will also get access to a residential bootcamp, research facilities and structured pilot opportunities. The programme will provide industry mentorship and technical expertise to help startups test and scale their solutions in real-world energy applications.
MC² Plus Ignite Focuses on Energy Innovation
The accelerator targets deep-tech solutions for the oil and gas sector. Its focus includes decarbonisation, energy transition, industrial innovation and advanced energy technologies. The programme is designed to connect startups with established energy companies and create opportunities for technology deployment.
BPCL Deep-Tech Startup Programme Supports Energy Transition
MC² Plus Ignite is led by MC² Plus, an initiative of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, and implemented by IIT Madras. BPCL is participating alongside other major Indian oil and gas companies to accelerate the development and adoption of emerging technologies across the energy sector.
Application Deadline for Startups
Startups interested in participating in the BPCL deep-tech startup programme must submit their applications by August 31, 2026. The programme provides an opportunity for technology-focused startups to gain funding, industry exposure and pilot opportunities while addressing key challenges in India’s energy transition.
