WCL TEJAS Programme Concludes Leadership Training
Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), under the Ministry of Coal, has concluded its WCL TEJAS Programme to strengthen leadership capabilities among young executives.
The programme concluded on August 22, 2026, after participants completed two training modules and a computer-based assessment. It focused on leadership, innovation, strategic thinking and a better understanding of organisational priorities.
The initiative aims to prepare young executives to take on greater responsibilities and contribute to the future growth of the coal sector.
WCL TEJAS Programme Focuses on Future Leadership
The concluding ceremony was attended by Dr Hemant Sharad Pande, CMD, WCL; Shri Indra Dev Narayan, CMD, MECL; and Shri Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance & Human Resources), WCL.
Dr Pande encouraged participants to apply their learning in their professional roles. He also urged them to become responsible, courageous and visionary leaders.
Shri Indra Dev Narayan appreciated WCL’s efforts to build a strong leadership pipeline. He said programmes such as TEJAS can strengthen strategic thinking and help executives address future organisational challenges.
Shri Bikram Ghosh congratulated the participants and highlighted the objectives and opportunities offered through the programme.
Top Participant Papers Showcased
The event featured presentations of the top three papers prepared by programme participants. The presentations provided a platform for young executives to demonstrate their understanding of strategic and organisational issues.
Faculty members and outstanding performers were also felicitated during the ceremony.
Participants further showcased their talents through cultural performances. Senior WCL officials, General Managers, faculty members and jury members attended the event.
