4th Namaste Vietnam Festival Wraps Up in Ninh Binh, Enhancing India–Vietnam Relations

Ninh Binh hosted the 4th Namaste Vietnam Festival from November 17-20, 2025, celebrating cultural diplomacy, tourism, and cinematic collaboration between India and Vietnam.

The festival, organized by the Provincial Government of Ninh Binh and Innovations India, was curated by filmmaker Captain Rahul Bali and featured prominent figures from both nations, reflecting their growing partnership under India’s Act East Policy.

The opening ceremony at Versak Hall included VVIPs like Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, and Tran Song Tung, Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh. Significant moments included the signing of three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing cooperation: the first MoU confirmed filming of the Bollywood movie SILAA in Ninh Binh, the second focused on positioning Ninh Binh as a tourist destination for Indian travelers, and the third targeted Indian destination weddings.

Ho An Phong emphasized the festival’s role in bridging cultural ties, while Tran Song Tung highlighted Ninh Binh’s cultural treasures and cooperation across various sectors. The festival attracted notable film personalities from both countries, including Bollywood stars and senior executives from major production houses, enhancing opportunities for partnerships in film and tourism.

Vietnam Airlines served as the Official Airline Partner for the third year, underlining its commitment to fostering connections between the nations. A high-level delegation from Mizoram participated for the first time, exploring collaborative opportunities in tourism and organic agriculture.

The festival also included cultural performances, seminars on film and tourism collaboration, and networking sessions, showcasing Vietnam’s heritage. Initiated in 2022, the Namaste Vietnam Festival has rapidly become a significant annual event that promotes the friendship and collaborative spirit between India and Vietnam, further reinforced by strategic partnerships and cultural exchanges fostered during the 2025 edition.
