Focusing on AI collaboration and boosting India’s digital talent, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Google CEO Sundar Pichai on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.
In a post on X, PM Modi described the meeting as a delight, adding, “Talked about the work India is doing in AI and how Google can work with our talented students and professionals in this field.”
The summit, which is being held at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to 20, has brought together over 110 countries and 30 international organizations, with around 20 Heads of State and 45 ministers in attendance.
Significantly, this is the first major global AI summit hosted in the Global South. The event reflects India’s vision of “Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya” (welfare and happiness for all) and the global principle of “AI for Humanity,” positioning India at the forefront of international AI discussions.
