NTPC Limited’s Bongaigaon unit recently held a one-day workshop for mid- and senior-level executives of its 750 MW power station. The topic, “Corporate Communication and its Changing Paradigms,” focused on the increasing strategic importance of communication in today’s ever-changing corporate landscape. Project Manager Arnab Maitra formally opened the training by stressing the importance of communication in moulding public opinion about the company. Timely, responsible, and adaptable communication is crucial in light of the ever-changing media ecosystem, he underlined.
Anurag Gupta, GM (O&M), spoke to the group and stressed the significance of organised communication in achieving operational excellence and facilitating smooth coordination among plant functions. He emphasised that good communication strategies include being clear, accountable, and responsive.
Roshan Dungdung, DGM (HR), had previously given the opening speech that provided background information for the meeting.
Presenters at the session were K. M. Prashanth, Sachin Gogoi, and Mitu Samarnath Jha, all of whom are well-known figures in the field. They offered their thoughts on the latest communication methods and trends.
