NTPC Bongaigaon Boosts Clean Water Access with Solar RO Project

On 2 February 2026, NTPC Limited – Bongaigaon and Cosmic Foundation inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to promote renewable energy and increase access to safe drinking water.

The overall cost of the arrangement is ₹43 lakh, and it includes the installation of 10 Solar Water Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems in Guwahati. A 500-litre storage capacity and a 1200 Wp solar module that has been certified by the MNRE will be included in each system.

NTPC’s CSR programmes, which prioritise community welfare and incorporate renewable energy, are in line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-6, which seeks to enhance public health and develop sustainable infrastructure in the region.
