NLCIL Launches Major Scrap Removal Drive under Special Campaign 5.0

NLC India Limited, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy, has initiated National special campaign 5.0 from October 2 to 31, 2025, focusing on cleaner workplaces, prompt matter disposal, and citizen-centric governance.

Key activities include scrap removal at various NLCIL Units, with significant clearance of MS pipes (3.550 MT) and dumpers (6.130 MT) at Mine-IA on October 24, followed by crane scrap (8.910 MT) removal on October 25. Additionally, 17.78 MT of damaged conveyors and unused rollers were cleared at Mine II on October 25.

These efforts not only enhance safety and cleanliness but also generate revenue from sales of scrap materials, supporting NLCIL’s commitment to a safe, clean, and efficient workplace as part of a larger nationwide movement for cleanliness and responsive governance.
