NLC India Renewables Signs PPA with SJVN for 200 MW Wind Project

NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), a subsidiary of NLC India Ltd. (NLCIL), has entered into a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN Limited (SJVNL) for a 200 MW Wind Power Project.

The signing occurred in Chennai, witnessed by key officials, including Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman of NLCIL, and Bhupender Gupta, Chairman of SJVN.

This PPA is part of SJVN’s broader initiative involving 600 MW of ISTS-connected Wind Power Projects, awarded through competitive bidding.

The project is projected to produce around 500 Million Units of green energy annually, showcasing a robust partnership between two prominent Central Public Sector Enterprises, which aims to enhance India’s renewable energy capacity and ensure energy security for the long term.
