Among PSUs in “Region C,” NHPC Limited’s Salal Power Station was recognised by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, as the most outstanding example of how to apply the Official Language policy. Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC, and Anish Gauraha, Executive Director, Salal Power Station, were conferred with the honour at the Joint Regional Official Language Conference in Agartala, Tripura on February 20, 2026, by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
In addition, the Second Prize was won by TOLIC (Office) Faridabad, which is run by the NHPC Corporate Office’s chairman.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, handed the certificate to Naveen Kumar Jain, Executive Director (HR) & HoD, Rajbhasha Department, while Uttam Lal received the shield.
Also awarded the Second Prize was TOLIC (Office) Reasi, which is run by Salal Power Station near Jyotipuram.
The chief minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, was among the dignitaries and lawmakers in attendance at the awards ceremony.
